Our rooster Red has a very impressive crow and likes to perch on the fence and exert his authority.
Chantecler chickens are also listed as critical by the ALBC. The originated in Quebec, Canada in the early 1900's. Our hens are very broody and love to hang out with the goats.

Ameracauna chickens were developed in the 1970's in the United States from the Aracauna breed of Chile. They lay beautiful eggs colored green, blue, and turquoise. The have a full, well rounded muff and beard. This breed is extremely comical and it is great fun to watch them run around the yard. They are very friendly and love to roam the yard for bugs. Our farm fresh free range eggs are from the Spanish, Chantecler, and Ameracauna chickens. We feed them an organic feed and supplement them with oyster shells and grit. They love to go into the goat and ram pens and cause chaos. Our free range chickens that we raise for meat are Cornish X's. We let them run outside and enjoy the bugs and sunshine and feed them an organic feed.
